This is a pdf knitting pattern.

These baby bib shorts are both practical and adorable with a heart motif which is worked separately and sewn on, so no need for intarsia work. Worked in aran weight cotton, the bib shorts fasten with buttons at shoulder straps and side waistband. Can be worn over a long sleeve T-shirt and tights on cold days and just a vest on warmer days. We use grey and red, a classic colour combination or can be worked in any colour combination of your choice, with or without the heart.

The bib shorts are worked mainly in St st, from bottom up, with 4 stitch G st border at each side. The back has a deep 2×2 rib waistband (to cover nappy) that extends round to the front to fasten with 2 buttons on each side.

Sizes: 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-12m, 12-18m, 18-24m

Needles: size 4.5mm UK, sz 7 (US)

Wool/Yarn Required: aran/worsted 3-5 balls.
